Take a look at the magnificent Somnath Temple I Gujarat.
Description
Somnath temple is one of the significant and oldest temples of Lord Shiva situated at Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Gujarat. This shrine is considered as the first of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. Arguably, the temple has been destroyed and rebuilt severally, which attributes to the concept of the fight of faith. The present building was built in 1951 and it has got the Chalukyan style of architecture carved and giant stone shikhara. The other site to see in the temple complex is the Somnath Museum, sound and light show, and Prabhas Patan Museum, to understand the evolution and importance of the place.
