Mesmerizing journey to Hussain Sagar Lake
Description
Welcome to the most amazing tour to Hussain Sagar Lake – the pride of Hyderabad in the newly formed Telengana state of India. One of the most outstanding features of the city built in 1562 by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah is the heart shaped lake which remains the second largest artificial lake in Asia, thus being an added bonus to the city as it has assumed the status of being a large commercial city with lots of traffic. The highlight of the area is a gigantic monolithic statue of the Buddha, which stands in the center of the lake, echoing its name, which is translated as ‘peace’.
Pleasing and beautiful as the Hussain Sagar may be, it is not merely a point of interest but a point of activity. It ranges from boat rides in the harbour to more adventurous activities such as water ski, para sailing among others. The Tank Bund road around the lake is lined with attractive statues and gardens for the visitors and the best for evening walks with the backdrop of the lake. In the evening, the spectacle of lights at the lake bed and the city on the backdrop of the sunset make the atmosphere breathtaking. Regardless what one has interests in history, natural and scenic beauty or for the leisure and recreation, Hussain Sagar Lake is an ideal place to visit.
